Seelbach Cutlery Blackhawk 5/8 Square point hollow

This isn't a new razor, and it has a couple little warts --  but it's good-looking, great-shaving, and relatively inexpensive.  Note that the blade is all but unworn..the spine is all there, the blade is all there.  The tang, the tail, and the spine are factory blackened, it's a great-looking azor.

The bevel is very even and narrow.

Yeah, that's my ear in the above picture.

KC Seelbach was in business in New York 1925-1947.  This would seem likely from the 1930's.

I promised you warts -- some pits on the back side. I don't try to buff them out, I'm just not that good with a buffer.

The other wart is that the blade doesn't set perfectly into the scales.  It favors the front scale and needs just a nudge to close the blade properly.  The scales are celluloid and good-looking with nickel bolsters.  Very shiny, attractive ivory color, tight pins and bolsters..

To sum this up -- the minor warts this razor has are reflected in the price.  This is a terrific shaving razor that should last for years.  I'll re-hone up to three times no charge, customer just pays postage.
